I have a Husqvarna 23 Compact chain saw. I just tuned it up and put on a new bar and chain. It vibrates so bad that after a few cuts my hands are stinging. What could cause this? I know it is the correct bar and chain because I was given the wrong one the first time. Thanks everyone, Larry.

Was it vibrating like this before the tune-up?? Check the motor mounts & springs on the engine suspension close for breaks or loose hardware. Are any fins missing from the flywheel?? Blow everything out with compressed air & look @ the mounts & suspension & you should see something.. Good Luck, Roger

Try running it without the bar and chain installed and see if there is still vibration.
If you ran it with the wrong pitch chain before, it's possible to put enough pressure on the crankshaft to bend it slightly, although this is a condition I rarely see. You can pull the starter rope slowly while looking at the crankshaft where the clutch/sprocket is attached and see if you can tell that it wobbles any.
