Devilbiss pressure washer pump

I got an Excell pressure washer model-XR2600, with a Devilbiss pump. The pump is in bad shape. Does anyone know of a web site that would have a service manual on this pump? I have't worked on one yet and I need some information. The only numbers on the pump are s/n- 0000858245 A01803 858245. I have already sent an E-mail to the factory and am awaiting an answer.

Devillbis didn't make the pump so you'd be better off determining the manufacturer of the pump (I don't recognize the ID numbers to direct you in the right direction) and go to their site. Stay tuned, someone should be able to advise you.

There is absolutely no manuf's name on the pump. I heard from the factory (Excell) and they said they didn't have a service manual and they gave me the address of a repair shop. Do you know where I might find some general information on a double piston inline pump.

Unfortunately they dont have the exact model on the page, but they do have the service manuals for horizontal radial pumps here:

http://www.devap.com/repair_pdfs/at_search.asp?id=PW&t=DAPC

http://www.devilbissparts.com/ says the replacement pump for you is part # A14292. I think this pump might be able to be found on Ebay (the seller lists only the horizontal version, but you can contact him about the vertical version if thats what you need). Not sure if you could get parts for it separately from a brand new pump. The pump was going for around 130 or so on Ebay I think.

EDIT: its a little more expensive than I thought, I was thinking of a different model: http://cgi.ebay.com/Giant-Pump-GXH2525A-111H-fits-Ex-cell-Porter-Cable_W0QQitemZ140106752591QQihZ004QQcategoryZ50388QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

I think this is the original pump: http://cgi.ebay.com/PRESSURE-WASHER-PUMP-EXCELL-DEVILBISS-DELTA-VERTICAL-VR_W0QQitemZ300112348026QQihZ020QQcategoryZ46536QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Good luck.

Devilbiss pressure washer pump

Chris,
Where did you come up with the model number A14292? If I go to the "devilbissparts" website, it tells me that the model number is invalid. Also, I looked at model number A01801, for my pump is off a 2600PSI 2.5 gal/min machine. The diagram for this model number looks exactly like mine. Also, I can't find a service manual for this model.

I noticed the "A01803" in the middle of the numbers you mentioned in your original post. That seemed like a pump part # to me (I just bought a Dewalt pressure washer from HD.......their display model comes with a nice CAT pump, the actual washer came with a "maintenance free" Devilbiss pump, and the pump model was similar to yours).

But I see I may have referred you to the wrong site. If you check this file: http://www.devap.com/repair_pdfs/PW/PRODUCT_TYPE/Radial_Pumps_2003.pdf it shows the "pump kit" is A01801, and the "bare pump" is A01803. So its the same pump, just a matter of what stuff you get in the kit vs just the pump. And the exploded parts diagram (which you probably already have) is here: http://www.devap.com/repair_pdfs/PW/Dapc/a01801.pdf

Im not sure you can find a service manual per-se (sp?), it seems like the only thing out there is the exploded parts diagram. I suppose if you mention the symptoms you are having someone here might be able to help. They are pretty simple machines, so it might be easy to figure out what needs replacing.

EDIT: search here: http://shoppingcart.msservicecompany.com/Default.aspx for a08103 and it refers you to the A14292 part I mentioned. Thats a different type replacement pump, but I believe they refer you to that because its more common and maybe easier to find parts for.

Dennis,
I have already replaced my pump but I appreciate the web site...I'll keep it for future problems.
