Solo 124

Sorry I am a cheap and poor.

Anyways, I pulled a Solo 124 weed eater out of someones garbage. I got it home fueled it up and it starts right up. It runs a little ruff which is to be expected I plan on giving it a good once over.

The problem is this, it doesn't spin I run it and it appears that it just doesn't engage the shaft or something.
Please help.

Thanks

Remember this: you are not cheap & poor -- you are FRUGAL.
Take unit apart & see what is broken-maybe a drive shaft--a bad clutch-
a stripped gear, etc.
Good luck.................

Sometimes it as simple as this: The shaft often slips away from the engine, and when this happens, the drive shaft or cable inside the shaft becomes uncoupled from the engine. See if the shaft will slide toward the engine. You may have to loosen the clamping bolt(s) and turnt he head a bit to get the shaft to line up with the clutch for it to slip together, if this is in fact the problem.

Could also be a broken shaft/cable, clutch problem, stripped gearhead if equipped, etc...
