Model # MTD Yard Machine?

Just acquired a 8.5 26" Yard Machine/MTD Snow thrower.
Of course No Manuals.
Showing tag Model # 31AE6COF022 , sn 1I188840256.
Went to MTD web page, they say they do not recognise the #. Also on the tag shows .. stage 500/600A/00.
From reading a previous post about sn dates .. assume this is a sept 1998 mfrd unit??
It appears that most model # start with 317----
Anyway to cross ref my mod # to 317??
Basically looking for Opns and Parts Manuals.
Suggestions??

My parts lookup shows it as a 1999 Lawn Chief.

What were you needing to know?
This site will not let me post attachments.

I have to change the ser. no. Magnifing glass helps.
Should read 1I188B40256.
It also is a Gold Series Machine.
Talked wit MTD, They also could not show manuals on line, , but might have to order from Parts Counter.
So looking for some one that might have parts/owners manual of 98-99 vintage for a 8hp-26". Or could send me their Model and ser no. to get one on line.

Thanks Fish

You need to try it again Your correct model number is 31AE6C"zero not 'oh'"F022 and you will find the manuals on the MTD site.

Thanks AJ And all
Guess I put the magnifying glass on the wrong #.
But it now works. Got all the info we need to build the new folder on this unit.
I traveled 189 miles to pickup this "couple of year old blower, used one time, and execellent condition." machine. I would have reduced the price farther if Known the true age then.
thanks again
Dick
