Mclane edger problem
Hello, I hope you can help me with this problem...
I have a Mclane edger, model #901-3.5RP. It is just about a year old. I purchased it online. I have the name of the company I bought it from, but of course, today is Sunday...just wondered if anyone here at DIY could help me.
My edger throttle control cable came off. It appears there should be a spring to connect the cable to the throttle. When
I push the throttle to the "start" position, it advances half way. then the cable pops off.
I have the owner's manual with parts for the edger, but there is nothing listed like a spring to assist the throttle to reach full throttle in the start position.
When I go to the Briggs and Stratton web page to look at the engine parts, it says item not found. The B&G model # is 0933 02, and the Type is 0110.
You can't really see from my photo, where the cable is supposed to connect, as it's behind this plate, but is there supposed to be spring here, on the front?

Okay, for some reason, my picture won't load. let me try again after I bumble around here for a bit.

No springs attatched.
Are you saying the hooked end of the cable pops out of the hole it is in at the engine?

There on the side of the carb. should be a screw, back out the screw and the cable should fit on the side of the carb.in a slot, tighten the screw back, and the cable should fit snug to the carb.and should not pop out of the engine.Check to see if the screw is not missing.Hope this helps.
