ford yt16g transaxle?

hi,..i have a ford yt16g lawn tractor/mower,.. the transaxle is slipping and popping under load,..only in certain gears,..not noticable going down grade. wanting to know if there is a way to change fluids,.linkage ? or is this a more severe problem? i currently have it listed at auction,.if it doesnt sell,..im willing to tear into it or swap trannies,..what other trans. would fit,..it looks like a fairly small unit for such a big mower. any info or thoughts would be of great help,..thanks,.cheezymoto

Sounds like internal problems. What tranny is in it?
