Craftsmen Lawn Tractor Won't Start
I have a 2004 Craftsman Lawn Tracter with a 17.5HP Briggs and Stratton Engine. It seems like I flooded the engine and it won't start. It has a brand new batter and put a new fuel filter in as well as tried to put carborator cleaner spray in the carb. I used it last week and it ran fine. Today, I filled up the tank and it seems like it is floaded. The starter/battery seems fine. There is a smell of gas as well as a popping sound when I keep trying to turn the ignition? Any suggestions?
Thank you Mike

OK Mike,
It's possible a piece of trash got under the float needle valve and caused the engine to flood.
Check the oil for a higher level and see if it smells like fuel, Remove the spark plug and see if it's wet/black. Tie the plug wire up away from the plug hole and away from any metal parts so it won't spark, Crank the engine over and watch for any fuel that may shoot out of the plug hole.
If you find the plug wet/black replace it, If you find fuel in the oil and cylinder the carb needs to come off and be taken apart and cleaned.
