Featherlite Leaf blower pull string

I have a Featherlite FL1500 leaf blower gas powered . The string wont recoil and i live in a small town with no small engine repairman. Is this an easy fix or do i need to go to the "big" city and let a pro do it.?

The pulls start on this product is not the most popular, so with that said, you will need to take it apart and see what is broken, bound, stuck or just needs lube. Refer to the link below(the parts manual). Have a good one. Geo

Every once in a while, if you pull one too hard and reach the abrupt end of the cord and make it stick, you can just "drop" the blower on the ground from a foot or so high to jar it loose and let it retract. Don't do it on a surface hard enough to damage it, just enough to jar it loose.
