carb help

i got a briggs and stratton motor im working on model number 350447. does anyone know what the top vaccum line goes to thats on the top of the carb. There is only 2 spots were hose can go on the carb and one is the fuel inlet, the mower runs fine until you try to plug the other line then it dies. I know it has to go to something because otherwise i would think stuff would get into the carb when you are mowing. Thanks for the help

Primer bulb maybe. Just a wild guess.

Measure it with a micrometer; cut it with an ax.

I tried to add gas to the line when its running and it wants to die because of too much fuel(running rich) I think thats what a primer bulb would do right? i dont know much about mowers. thanks again

That's the float bowl vent, There is nothing supposed to go to it. If it would make you feel better put a piece of hose on it and let it hang down open.
