Toro 20005
My Toro recycler self propelled mower is hunting since i started using from winter hibernation a couple weeks ago.
I did the winter prep.stuff, but i ran the carb out of fuel, rather than putting in fresh gas and adding Stabile.
The strange thing is when i start it,starts fine,it hunts for awhile till it warms up,then its o.k.
I put Sea-foam in it without any change. I removed the Carb bowl and cleaned the 4 holes in the main jet.. Holes were clean,no crud in the bowl, starts right up.
Any ideas before i take it to the dealer?
Thanks

It could be an air leak that seals after things heat up and expand. Try spraying some carb cleaner along the mating surfaces between the carb and intake while it is surging to see if the engine tempo changes. Have a good one. Geo

Follow-up:
Hi Geo,
I think you may have solved the issue.
I sprayed the carb, and got a smoothing out of the engine.
Flanges were tight. I cut off a 1/4 in. ,or so from the fuel line
at both ends, and the bugger seems to run fine.
Good trouble-shooting,and thanks.

Geo,
follow up:
trimming the gas line didn't help.
After running the mower with some more sea-foam,it
smoothed out. I guess it was just crud in carburetor.
Thanks for your help.
