24 hp craftsman lawn tractor problems

Hi, i have a 24 hp craftsman 50in cut garden tractor. I have this problem, when i release the clutch/brake or try to start the mower blades the engine kills.. it doesn't die it stops running like it would if you turn the key off. I took of the clutch switch and the safety switch under the seat and brought them into sears and they said that they were good but they said to try a new relay so i replaced that and it still does the same thing.. any ideas?? thanx much.

There is a safety switch inside of the seat safety switch plug connector, Make sure this connector is clean and pushed onto the seat switch tightly.

Agreed...the seat switch connector isn't staying pushed up tight enough to the switch to activate the micro-switch in the connector itself.
