Troy-Bilt TB425CS 4 stroke got really wet

I have a Troy-Bilt TB425CS 4 stroke. I placed it in part of my shed that developed a large leak (section of roof came off) and now my trimmer starts and idles rough. After letting it idle for a minute or so when I give it gas it stalls out. Any ideas on what to do to fix this? I left it out in the sun for a few hours to try and dry things out.

Check the crankcase to see that it didn't get water in the oil, if so change the oil. Check the air filter on the carb, it may have gotten wet and is causing the fuel restriction, if so just dry it out. Have a good one. Geo
