B&S engine trouble

I have an 8HP B&S engine on a BCS tiller that quits on me after it runs for awhile. Once it cools down it will refire and run for a short time and then die again. Any suggestions? The model # is 185432, Type 053BA1, Code 96031449.

Check for spark when it dies. If none is present, change the coil. If there is spark present, loosen the gas cap and see if it will start.

Sounds like a bad coil (armature).
They cost about 40 to 50 dollars.
