I have an 18 hp Craftsman ride on mower,
its been stalling out after 10 mins. I took off the air filter and noticed oil.
What should I do ?

Is it over filled with oil? I just had this problem on a push mower that belongs to my sisters boyfriend. He had probably twice the oil in it that it needed and it was comming from the crank case into the carb.

There are a lot of 18hp engines. Which one are you having problems with?

help

sorry I mis spoke, its a 14.5 hp Briggs & Stratton
a Craftsman riding mower with 42 " blade

Oil level reads in the middle of add and fill

after a few minutes it stalls out and there is oil in the air filter
also I just noticed oil at the end of the muffler.

I assume this is not a good thing.
Any guidance would be much appreciated

I'll assume this is a 28000 series engine. Is the oil level overfull? Does the oil smell like gas?
