Ford / New Holland Question

I have a Ford/NH LS45 lawn tractor that I cannot find a manual for online.

My question is the battery light stays on all the time. Engine seems to run fine. Previous owner says he might have hooked the battery up backwards!

Any help on this? Or a manual?

Thanks

Have your alternator checked.
The battery may have been hooked up backwards momentarily, but it will not work that way. It usually produces sparks. If it is a diesel engine the only amp draw is from the starter & glow plugs. So you can usually run for a good while if the alternator is out.
We don't have any Ford lawn tractors around here, I was thinking of a real tractor.
