Craftsman ground drive V-belt needs replaced

I just noticed a pretty big fissure/crack in the ground drive belt and ordered a replacement, but was wondering if replacing the ground drive belt is an easy process or should I leave it to a professional. Any ideas where to get step-by-step procedures would be greatly appreciated. Tractor = Craftsman Model 917.276240, 25hp Kohler w/54" mower deck and automatic transmission.

You can go to Sears parts online to get the owner's manual for your tractor. The instructions for replacing the belt will most likely be in the manual.

Start here:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/part...t/index.action

Enter the model mumber, click search.

On the right side of the new page there will be a box for "Get manuals for this model".

Follow that. You'll have to register, but it's painless and doesn't cost anything.
