Stihl weedeater

I have a brand new Stihl weedeater. When I start it the trimmer head doesn't rotate. Now, I can't remove the trimmer head. I have turned it clockwise as per the manuel, but it turns but will not come off. I may have forgotten to install the thrust washer, so I need to remove the head. Please help!

Take it back to where you purchased it. Get them to show you how to service it. Damage it and kiss your warranty goodbye.

I agree with Airman take it back to the dealer, Stihl dealers are usually very good about servicing their products, unless they have been messed with. Have a good one. Geo
