Homelite Trimmer - Can't Pull Cord

I'm not well versed on small engines and I have a problem: My Homelite trimmer suddenly stopped working this morning (while I was trimming the yard). Now I can't even pull the cord to restart it. Is this as bad as it sounds?

I do know that it was being run with straight gasoline, rather than gas + oil, for a bit. And it is a straight shaft, zip start trimmer from 2005. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jay Allen

It sounds like its time for a new one,,Those small trimmers need gas and oil mixed every time.

If it was ran with straight gas it is now junk. 2-cycle's don't last long on straight gas. Sorry, have a good one. Geo
