craftsmen 20.5 twin cam start problem

i have a craftmen model 917270860 20.5 hp platnum edition. i rolled it backwards down a hill and almost kills myself. it would start but keep wanting to sputter out. tho in full rev, with blades engages i could cut the grass smoothly. tho if i shut it off it wont start again for many hours, like it floods out instantly. i took the carb apart and cleaned it good, changed the spark plugs and fuel filter, oil and gas. now it will start and run very smooth with no sputtering, but only for about 30 seconds then just die out. and takes several hours before i can attemt again. then it will do the same thing , run for 30 seconds or so then die. seems like it keeps flooding out. it ran perfect before the rollover. can someone please help? cant afford a new tractor

Check for spark during the time it won't start.
