Honda 5.5 hp ohv engine.

I need someone to tell me how to set the timing on this engine.

A key that holds the flywheel in the correct position sets ignition timing. Ignition timing is normally not off unless the engine came to a hard stop, as in hitting an object while mowing. Valve timing is a different matter requiring alignment of marks on the camshaft and crankshaft gear.

If you need specific help, post the complete model number.

I posted this earlier on your duplicate thread.

I found this:
"According to the shop manual, the crankshaft key groove is supposed to face "up" (the illustration shows the engine oriented vertically.) The cam pulley alignment marks are supposed to be "in line with the cylinder head cover mating surface."
