Wandering wheel bolt

I recently installed a new transmission assembly on my Toro 22" cut self-propelled, walk behind mower. Since that time, the left front wheel has been falling off while mowing the lawn. This has happened several times. The wheel bolt is apparently being backed out. It is a right-hand threaded bolt. I have replaced several parts and there seems to be no logical reason for this to be happening. Comments?

When I have had similar problems my solutions was to put some locktite on it. Have a good one. Geo

It appears that the bolt is not being tightened enough and the wheel is dragging on the bolt. The proper bolt has an eliptical shape in the thread area that helps act as locking feature. The more you remove the bolt the less retension it will have. The lock nut is a good idea but you will need a thin version so the locking feature engages the threads on the bolt.
