Edger question
I have had no luck with several of the edgers I have purchased over the years at HD. What kind do you guys recommend and where can I get one for a great price?
Thanks in advance.

I think Mclane makes a pretty good edger, but I don't know what you have been using and what kind of issues you are having with them.
Is it a problem with the engine? or the edger itself?
You can see the Mclane edgers at their website

I use a Craftsman gas weedwhacker model # 358791070 -32 cc unit--so now you have a good weedwhacker.
Then I purchase a Expand-it edger attachment # UT15518E from home depot.
You turn a handle & push a button on the Craftsman & the weedwhacker comes off--push the EXPAND-IT into the slot & it locks ready to go--it has a sidewalk metal guide on it & it works great-keep extra blades as they do wear out.........

I agree with 30yeartech about Mclane edgers. I think they are the best edgers out there for the money. I don't like trimmer-based edgers. They generally don't perform as well or last nearly as long, and aren't as easy to use as a dedicated wheeled edger.
