B&S Engine Wont Start----Pressure Washer

Got a B&S Intek 190 - 6 HO engine on a Generic Pressure Washer.
Model 121432

It will not start.................Plain and simple.
I have done the following.....
1. Replaced spark plug
2. Removed and cleaned carb with carb cleaner
3. Replace needle valve and seat
4. Replaced air cleaner
5. Cranks good and has pressure, but will not fire.
6. Put a couple tablespoon of gas in spark plug cylinder, will fire, but stops.
7. All fuel chambers cleaned and not blocked in carb.

It's as though, no gas is getting to spark plug.

Any clues??????????

Thanks...

Apparently something is still blocked in the carb, since it can't get fuel to the cylinder. Does the carb bowl fill with gas?

Yes, the carb bowl does fill up.....

It's like it's not sucking gas into the chamber......

It's got to be something simple....ain't nothing to the carb.

It's only three years old with less than 20 hours on it. And it does this every year. Once it was fixed under warranty, then it was fixed at cost, now it's happened again. Since this is a yearly event....I need to know how to fix it.

Your main jet is the nut that holds the bowl on. Run a wire through the center and blow with compressed air. When holding carb upside down is the float level? If it is angled up and you replaced seat you possibly did not push seat all the way down or hinge pin is sticking, float should be level.Drain your tank and gas can and get fresh gas from pump. Even though bowl is filling if is filling with stale gas or gas with water it is not going to start.

Post back results. good luck

smallengineguy...thanks a bunch...............

It was the little nut with the hole in the middle. I had soaked everything fuel related but that little nut. Used a wire and cleaned it out with Gumout......and presto......STARTED

But now discovered something else. Can't get the water pressure up. Water comes out but without high pressure. Got to troubleshoot the pump now. I wonder if it's beacuse I haven't used it in over three years.

Any clues on what to check on the water pressure?

So far, I have checked hoses, and trigger handle.

Thanks...

Probably a stuck unloader valve. Look at a diagram of the pump to find the unloader, take it out, and clean it well. Reassemble with vaseline on the valve parts.
