Jacobson 36" Crewking Gearbox Question

I have an older Jacobson 36" Crewking Walk Behind Mower. Lately it has become harder and harder to change gears, so I plan on taking it apart. I used a peice of wire and checked the lube, it was very dry and stringy. The gearbox is labeled:
Peerless Gear-Div Tecumsee. There is a number on the casting it is RE32125. The Jacobson Manual claims that the gearbox is permanately lubricated. Well, we all know that isn't always the case. My main question is... what is the lubricant to be used in this after I clean it out.
Thanks in advance.
Bob

Sorry for the late responce I overlooked your post.

The number you give is not the transaxle model number.

Geared, not hydrostatic, peerless transaxles use 788067B Bentonite grease.
