Troybilt Generator 5550

One year old generator...first start up a few days ago, was terrific! After organizing all the connections (they were Not plugged into the generator!)...tried to restart and the starter cord jammed after about a three inch pull. Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Need to determine if the problem is in the starter or engine. You may need to pull the starter off of the engine to see if it operates normally.

Is there plenty of oil in the engine?

What is the brand and model of the engine on your generator??
