Lawnboy mower
This is a lawnboy mower with a tecumseh engine model LEV100.I have overhauled the carb.,it starts on the first pull,it has a constant popping sound, coming out of the muffler,it does not surge,is this a valve problem,or still a carb. problem,it has fresh fuel. Both holes are clear in the bowl nut,and the idle restricter screw is clear.
Thanks

Jerry,
In most cases a popping sound from a muffler or carb is a sign of a non seating valve. There could be a piece of carbon stuck under the exhaust valve or I have also seen worn valve guides cause this as well.
Good Luck
