Tanaka weed eater stalls and no power

I have a Tanaka weed eater that will only stay runnning and have power if I keep pressure on the primer bulb. The bulb is full of fuel but the unit won't stay running. Please help.

Can you tell us the brand and model of the carburetor on your trimmer?

Model number of your trimmer as well??

It is a model 3010 trimmer. It was running fine then one day it would only run for a few minutes and I had to play with the choke to keep it running that long. I noticed the primer bulb cracking and replaced it. Now the trimmer starts and will only run strong if I keep pressure on the primer bulb...kind of like forcing fuel into the carb.

Sounds like you need to clean the carb and possibly install a rebuild kit.
