Cool Briggs 5hp flooding out

Picked up a Snapper self propelled w/Briggs 5 hp commercial engine. Mod 132922, type 3232-01. Got it to run but after 3-4 minutes just floods the engine and sounds like water boiling in the intake. Have disassembled carb, soaked/cleaned body, blew it all out, installed new diaphram, base gasket, reset the idle mix to 1 1/2 turns. Fired on 2nd pull but back to the flooding so bad you can see gas literally flowing in the throat with the air cleaner off. Have repaired several pieces of briggs powered things I own, but this takes patience out of you. Any ideas before I run over it with the sledge hammer??

I haven't run into that problem with that particular carb. There is a return for the fuel from the pump that goes back to the tank. If this is clogged, it may cause this problem? Also, did you install the spring on the carb side of the fuel pump diaphragm?
