14.5 Briggs carb help

I got a 10 year old yardsman riding lawn mower. I have a question... it has 2 wires going to the bowl on the carb. what do the wires do.

I tried to get it started and it runs after a shot of starter fliud, but dies. I have checked the gas line and it is clean ( gas flows)

Is it hard to remove the fuel bowl on the carb. I am guessing it needs to be cleaned. I am just not sure of the 2 wires and how one might take the bowl off.

any help please.

Most likely the wires have a plug attached at the end and the plug can be removed from the solenoid on the bottom of your carburetor. The Model type and code numbers off your engine will help us to help you.

Once you disconnect the plug from the solenoid, it can be unscrewed from the bottom of the carburetor.
