OH160 Carburetor Replacement

I am in the process of repowering a Sears St 16 Model 917.25873 The old power plant was a 143.630012. I picked up an OH160 170048E off of a Bolens and had it all rebuilt. After wearing down a starter due to the new rings, I finally got it to fire! This thing is loud and noisy, valve clatter, it should be melted into paperclips! I can't locate a local mechanic worth spit in this area, so I am now reaching out to all of you...
However I am having trouble smoothing it out with the old LMH carburetors.I found three carburetors, tecumseh 632205C, 632456A, and lastly Walbro WHG-17, although the Walbro is only 75.00, I want to make the right selection, can anyone help me on this? I am brand new to this forum thing and I really don't have time to go through a big hassle being a new member and all, so if anyone out there can assist me on this replacement carb, I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks

The correct carburetor for your engine, based upon the number you posted would be the Tecumseh 632456A. While many different carburetors may fit your engine, if the jetting is not correct for your displacement engine, they may not operate properly.

Best of Luck...
