snapper pro express dies when blaes engage

When mower is running and I flip my switch to engage blades, the engine starts to stall out. When switch flips off, engine regains momentum

Does the engine just die, or does it seem more like it is bogging and slowly dying? If it just shuts down,t hen I'd say you have a safety switch problem. If it bogs, it could be a carb problem or a problem with the deck components or something jammed in or wrapped around the blades making them hard to turn.

It boggs. The blades start turning, but it starts to stall. I think it is the carb, but I'll verify all is OK with deck hardware.

I'd check out the underside of the deck to be sure that you don't have vines, or wire or a rope wound around something binding the blades up.

if you choke the carb while engaging the deck and it picks up RPM's that would point to the carb as the problem. lean mixture, partially clogged main jet....
