Troy Shredder/chipper Tomahawk

Need some help. Was running my shredder yesterday, got it running good, when some wet leaves clogged the chute, it started to smoke some, then it shut down. I could not get it started again. The pull on the fly wheel has no tension, it pulls to easily. Is this an engine problem? Doesn't turn over?

Check compression...sounds like you have none. If none, put a straw down the spark plug hole until it hits the piston, then turn the engine and see if you feel the piston move with the straw. If not, the engine has broken a rod.

Is this an old Troy-Bilt Tomahawk? Does it have a centrifical clutch? (no lever to engage the chipping/shredding section, just as the engine comes up to speed the clutch automatically engages and you are ready to go) Most likely has a Tecumseh motor?
