Honda Mower HRM215 engine

Hi: 11/1/08

I have a HRM215 engine. Can not be started when sitting idle a day or so. Once I spary carb cleaner thru the filter housing and apply full chock, it starts. After it runs for few min, it will start again w/o any spray of carb cleaner but chock needs to be fully on (i.e closed) when pulling each time I wanted to start.
I have given a turpentine bath to the carb, took out ventury, float thoroughly cleaned with turpentine and blown using compressed air.
I am frustrated.
Anyone has any suggesstion?

Thanks.

Turpentine doesn't cut the gum and clean the carb. You need to use carb cleaner and clean the restriction in the carb.
