B&S surging, EXB2525ES update thanks geogrubb, Cheese
Posted 11-05-08 and 11-13-08 for help.
Thanks geogrubb. There was a slight air leak but later found engine was not being loaded. Pump was not working.
Thanks Cheese. Unloader was OK but found one of the three piston check valves was stuck open. Seems to have the same effect. Would never have thought that could cause a total loss in pressure.
Now up to full pressure and no surging.
Now need to find a solvent to leave in pump during storage to prevent electrolysis which does not damage components.
Prestone coolant or equivalent? Any ideas?

Glad you found the problem. One stuck valve allows the pressure from the other two working valves to backfeed behind the one that is stuck open. That's why there was little pressure.
They make additives specifically for pressure washer pumps, although I would think regular anti-freeze wouldn't hurt anything.
