craftsman 25 cc leaf blower not starting

compression seems ok, tested at 50lbs. new carb and getting gas . blue spark with spark tester, new spark plug and fresh gas 40:1 ratio as required

50lb compression is low, check that all of the crankcase bolts are tight, if that doesn't help,
Remove the muffler and check the piston and cylinder walls for scoring(deep scratches) if they are there the blower is shot, if not using a small screwdriver push on the ring to see if it is frozen. That is all the ideas I have for now. Post back with your results and we can go from there. Have a good one. Geo

craftsman leafblower

I've had a couple of these. 50 lbs. of compression is low. Take the plug out and squirt a little gas in the cylinder. See if it fires then. If it does not fire ,take the plug back out. If the plug is dry, there is not enough compression to explode the gas mixture. All it is doing is burning the gas, but not exploding it.
