DC Craftsman Sno-thrower carb.?

I am having a hell of a time getting my Old Craftsman Sno-thrower to stay running. I have taken the carb. apart and cleaned. Anybody out there know their small engines really well? Looking for some tips or starting points. Please keep me from setting fire to this thing.

Post model numbers, etc. from the engine and let us see what you have.

The model is 536.884780
The blower is discontinued. Help

Your model 536.884780 snow thrower was made by Murray for Sears.
The engine should be Sears’s model 143.965003, which is Tecumseh model HSSK50-67338P.

I suggest you go back and thoroughly clean the carburetor. I realize you have cleaned it but believe me; you can never clean them enough.

Give the suggestion below a try.

Clamp off the fuel line, remove the carb bowl, release the clamp to see if you have good fuel flow to the carb, raise the float to see that it shuts off the flow with minimal pressure, clean the junk from the bowl, clean the bowl nut, 2 holes close to the bottom and a tiny one about midway up(I usually use the wire from a twist tie), spray all holes, cracks and crevases with brake parts cleaner, reassemble and you should be good to go. If this didn't work it will be probably be necessary to rebuild the carb. If I missed something one of the real mechanics will post to help further. Refer to the photo below. Have a good one . Geo
