ok the replacement im looking at won't work as its a side draft. mines a updraft so does anyone know of a replacement that would work as like i said its discontinued so i need a replacement.if i can't get the carb or any subs that would work my only option besides junking the unit is to get a replacement engine.

Here is a list of places Briggs recommends for old & obsolete parts. You might check them out and see if anyone can help you out.

Where can I find old/antique/obsolete parts?

ok to change topics for a 2nd. This tecumseh carb says service carb. Do I have to transfer parts. TEC-631954 the diagram does not help in this case. this is for a craftsman snowblower this time.

I was confused for awhile; I thought you were writing about the Briggs and Stratton but if I understand correcrly you are now talking about a Tecumseh.

If you will start a new thread and list your engine model number, etc. I will be happy to help.
