Yet another snowblower question...

Hi!

I'm posting this on behalf of my husband who's at work today and needs some help/ advice about repairing our snowblower.

Everything on it works fine except it will no longer propel itself. Last night he replaced the belts on it but that didn't seem to help. Any ideas what the problem could be?

If you need any info about the snowblower (ie- make, year, etc) I can get it. Thanks in advance for any help offered!

some machines have a grease fitting under the friction wheel that may need grease
you will need a grease gun to add the grease
if it's low on grease it will not engage the friction wheel up for it to move
but first you need to remove the bottom cover
tip machine up on it's auger housing
also check the the rubber wheel (tire) that touches the friction wheel for wear when engaged
this is assuming you have this type of 2 stage snowthrower
but indypower can better help you more than i can

It's a Yardworks snowblower (Canadian Tire make), is a 2001 and the model# is 60-3753-6.
It's 10.5 hp, I'm not sure if the engine is a Briggs & Stratton or Tecumseh but I could run out to the barn and check if the engine make would affect something like this...

Thanks again!

Friction disc could be worn, cable could be out of adjustment, the belt tensioner could need adjusting.
