Light for Husky snowthrower 8hp 27in

I have a snowblower that I have heard is possible to power a light for night visibility but I am unsure of which wire is hot for power.

Does your engine have the wiring for it, does it have an alternator? Most don't and if it did usually it has a light. It's an add on, you will have to find out if the option can be bought or if it's already there. Or just go buy a bicycle light, cheaper and easier.

Got the engine number? That will tell if it has an alternator. Most snowblower engine DO have an alternator to run a light.

I stand corrected, I didn't know most machine's had an alternator, I thought it was an option and that only the "pro" machine's came with them. I've got a 8hp toro and 8hp craftsman that don't, only my 10hp has one.
