TORO Powershift 824

The reverse gears just stopped working. I checked the cable is still attached and seems to operate a lever under neath. All other functions are working fine. Any ideas about how to check out the cause of this malfunction?

I have no experience with snow blowers. I do know you can download service manuals at the Toro website. You will need the true model number, e.g. 38540.

Reverse Cable Adjustment: Adjust the reverse
cable so that there is 1.5 mm (1/16") side play in
the reverse bellcrank as shown in Figure 43. If the
cable is too loose, loss of reverse will result. If the
cable is too tight, loss of the forward gears will
occur.

Go download the repair manual, page 56 in adobe, 49 in the manual, posted above with diagrams.

Use the model # I posted.
