toro snow blower- no power

I have an S-200 toro snow blower. It has Tech engine, 2 cycle. It runs fine but has no power when I make it work. Have cleaned the carb and it runs better but still no power. Could it be the crank seal and can I change it without removing the crank shaft. Any ideas would sure help! thanks gerry

Download the manual below. Look at the troubleshooting section heading ENGINE LACKS POWER; it covers the various things that cause low power. Arbitrarily replacing parts is not the way to go. Tests can be performed to determine the cause of power loss. Without the right equipment, it may be best to take it to a shop for repair. If you have the tools, check RPM at full throttle and perform a compression check.

Install a new spark plug, a defective plug can cause mysterious problems.
