Ariens snowthrower belt tension

Hi,
I have an Ariens 520 2 stage snowthrower that is a few years old. It has a 5 hp tecumseh engine and a 20 in auger. It is not throwing snow very well so I checked the belt. The belt seems loose when the tensioner is engaged. Is there a way to adjust it and how much deflection should it have. the model number is 932102. I was also wondering if there is anywhere on the internet to find a manual for it.
Thank you

If you look at the idler pulley that engages belt, you can most likely adjust by loosening bolt and sliding to tighten. I would consider replacing belt PN# is 07211400. If someone used a non-Ariens belt this can happen. They sometimes are in 1/2 inch increments and it makes a difference.

You can get a manual at ariens.com, go to customer service, enter model# + serial# and what language you want. You can download for free

snowblower belt

the belt that is on it is 072114. I got this snowblower from a friend and he only used it a couple of times it is almost brand new. With the pulley engaged there is approx 1 to 1.5 inches of belt deflection is that normal or should i replace the belt. I looked at the idler pulley and i dont think it can be adjusted.
Thank you

That seems a bit much, before buying belt I would download an owners manual and follow instructions on page 19 on how to adjust clutch cable. Adjusting cable may solve your problem, actually here is a link to your manual:

Let us know if adjustment takes care of it.
