Impellar shear pin removal

I have a Nine hp sears snow blower i sheared both pins on impellar and can't get the old pins out.no room to swing a hammer,should i try and take out shaft,or is there a trick that i am missing.need help please!

Removing the auger assembly is probably the easiest way to replace the impeller pins. This will give you room to work on it.
The downside is removing the pulley and bearing on the backside of the auger housing. These may be rusted on the shaft.
It is usually the auger shear pins that break. Very unusual for the impeller pins to go.
