DR Roto Tiller w/Briggs

8 HP Briggs Model-192432 Type-1213 E1 Code-9SU423YD

It is on a DR Rototiller, I checked the briggs site for an illustrated parts list but the only .pdf they show is for mfgr. date prior to 00. That one does not show a fuel pump which the one I am looking at is so equipped.

Is it likely that being on a DR product this engine is proprietary? Any ideas where I might find a parts list?

Apparently the fuel pump was leaking and the fella tried to fix it removing the air filter housing and other parts, found he had no idea what he was even looking at and pushed it into a shed still disassembled. Needless to say the removed parts are now free in the wild somewhere.

The code you list is not correct. The first two digits should be numbers and represent year of manufacture.

Her is a link for the IPL. Fuel pump is on page 7. If the fuel pump is different on your engine it may have been replaced with a different pump.

You can look up parts at this link:

Thanks Airman,
That is the same IPL I was looking at. I know these IPL's do not always depict a good drawing of the part, however the fuel pump on this unit is rectangular, and the base has two mounting tabs which match the place on the shroud it where it attaches (best I can tell ne way).
You are correct about the code, with my glasses the code is 98U423YD
That U could be a V, the numbers are peened and not scribed on the plate.
Only two screws on the cover of the fuel pump angled from each other and the base is different as it has the ears for the mounting screws.
Thanks for the help.
