Pressure washer problems

I have a craftsman pressure washer with a problem. It is about five years old, model 580 768310, with a 6.25 HP Tecumsh engine. My problem just started, motor runs fine, but when I pull the trigger to activate the high pressure the engine does not rev up. I can mess with the linkage on the carb and it will rev and maintain until I release the trigger then the motor drops back to idle. I repeated this cycle
numerous times but could not get the unit to operate as it had
previously. I ran the Washer for about 2 hrs, everything else worked fine but his problem never got better.

I'd say the unloader valve in the pump is probably sticking. You'll have to take it out, clean and lube it, and reassemble.
