Hello Master Tech,

Have a 290r Ryobi blower that I replaced the primer bulb on because you could press it and no gas would fill it up for starting. I replaced the fuel lines and now it will fill but it won't run at full throttle. I checked the fuel filter in the tank and it looks good but when I put it on the new fuel tubing it bent slightly but did not break on the little barbed section. Could I have kinked that little barb on the fuel filter and now it is restricting the flow because now the primer bulb will sometimes stay collapsed when pushing to prime?

If the primer doesn't return, then most likely the carb needs to be cleaned. I suspect the check valves and/or needle valve is stuck, and possibly the inlet screen is varnished over and clogged.
