Impeller jammed on sno blower

My dog left his soccer ball out and it is now jammed behind the rear impeller against the housing. Ive tried cutting it out, not happening. Its a 2 stage Yard Machine, works great when it isnt jammed. How difficult is it to release the impeller, or should I give up now and go to the repair guy. Unfortunately, snow is forcast tomorrow. Any help is appreciated.

Get someone to help you. Go down the chute & grab the ball with vise grips. Have your helper reach in from the front of the scoop and turn the impeller in the direction of the chute while you pull on the ball. I know it is tight in there, but with persistance you should be able to pull it out. Otherwise, you will have a chore on your hands having to "split" the tractor from the scoop, removing the pulley, then removing the whole auger assembly.
Sounds like you have lots of fun to do today.

Indypower is the man!!!!

Thanks, your vise grip idea enabled me to pull it forwards out thru the augers (after 2+ hours of grunt tugging, 1mm at a time). Thanks again! LET IT SNOW!!!
