Tiller identification help needed!

I am trying to help a friend identify his tiller so he can get a new worm gear for it.

It is an older model front-tine tiller with a 3.5 hp B&S vertical shaft engine. The ID tag reads simply, "Model T-35", serial # "78-" Th front pulley/belt cover has a rocket logo with fins and nose, with the rocket body made up of lettering: "Rocket." The gearbox is a cast aluminum (?) unit that descends vertically from the tiller deck. It looks to be a pretty good quality gearbox complete with tapered Timken bearings, possibly a steel worm, and a (Hideously) worn worm gear.

My best research so far leads me to think it might be a Montgomery Wards unit made by Gilson, but I need help. I will also admit that the gearbox components look a lot like Ariens (which would go along with the "Rocket" name.)

I have several pics posted on: Tiller

Sorry I can't tell what it is, but the orange color and design of it persuade me to think Gilson. Ariens is maybe a possibility, but their old tillers were generally white with orange lettering and they usually said Ariens on them, and of better quality than this one. I doubt you will find replacement parts for it, but maybe worth trying.

I am thinking it may be a 1970's MTD.
Do you have the engine numbers? Being a B&S engine, the numbers will tell us the year of the engine which may help finding the model.

I will ask the owner to get the engine numbers. I saw them stamped on one of the covers, so I know they are there.
