ignition solenoid
older homelite garden tractor with 18 hp briggs.solenoid has 2 larger brass terminals on top and 2 smaller terminals on bottom. anybody help on proper wiring ?

One big lug goes to the starter cable, the other big lug goes to the battery positive cable. One small terminal goes to the wire that gets 12v when the keyswitch is turned to start. The other small terminal goes to ground or the ground circuit created by the closure of safety switches, depending on how the wiring is setup to work.

Thank you! I could sort of tell by the size and position of the cables for the starter and positive batt. terminal. The smaller terminals were harder to decipher. I will check closer for which is 12v and which s/b ground. Squirrels invaded it during winter and chewed some wires. Thanks for the quick response.
