cub cadet pto help

mower sat for awhile ,when i turn onpto it kills the engine ,can i loosin the bolts on it to loosin upthe tention to get it to spin then tight it back up

You didn't state which model unit this is, But it sounds like the belt is stuck/rusted in the pulley. You can do what ever is needed to unstick the belt so it will spin freely. Also check for any locked up idler pulleys or blade spindles.

If turning on the PTO kills the motor immediately, then I'd check the seat safety switch. If that switch doesn't sense your weight in the seat, it will kill the motor every time you engage the PTO
